Q: My field is highly technical. Will you be able to write competently about it?
A: Research is part of my business. I will read up on your field and, if necessary, rely on you for information and guidance.
Q: I take a hands-on approach to everything involving my business. Will you work closely with me on the materials I need written?
A: Of course. I always strive to accommodate clients. However, should I incur additional phone charges, they will figure into your final bill.
Q: I need web site copy. Will you coordinate with my designer?
A: Yes. I understand every medium requires a different writing approach. Web site copy needs, among other things, to look attractive on the page. That takes coordination with your designer or webmaster.
Q: I need a brochure. Will you design it as well as write its content?
A: Yes. My design abilities are limited, but I do have some training and experience. If I can do it myself, I can subcontract the work so that you are free to run your business.
Q: What is your hourly rate?
A: My base rate is $30/hour. Additional charges will apply for work hired out, such as web site design and construction.
Q: Do I have to sign a contract?
A: No. I do, however, require a good faith payment of 20% of the estimate quoted before I begin work.
